May 26...good bye Saskatoon

I LOVE IT IN SASKATOON!!!! THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!!!
So this week I did exchanges with Sister Tomkinson... she is one of the Meadow Green sisters. She is super great! both her parents are deaf and so her first language is sign language which we used to help us with teaching A LOT! its so much fun to watch her sign. She is so amazing and I loved being able to spend that time with her for a day! I think my favorite part of the day which she told me about expanding the puddle. Her teaching pool right now is really small and so they call it a teaching puddle its so cute but they are working so hard and it is growing so much!
I got sick this week again... we thought it was the flu again which would have been the third time I have had that this year but when a member was watching me they suggest I go through the fridge and look at expiration dates.... low and behold there it was, the milk that was expired! Hello food poisoning... yay!!! now after not puking for seven years before my mission hopefully I am done puking... third time is the charm and I AM DONE!
This week we got to spend some time gardening. I ended up finding 33 worms, me and Sister McPhee had a contest and I won. We also saw lots of other bugs.. like the dreaded mosquitos, THEY ARE BACK! I swear nothing should survive after a winter like that. But they did and we got the veggies all planted so hopefully they can start growing. It was fun to be able to get my hands dirty and spend some time soaking up some sun. ahhhh vitamin d.
So transfer calls came this week.... which turned my weekend into a weekend of goodbyes instead of what we were planning on doing. I have been transfered to Prince Albert Saskatchewan which is a small ward that is about an hour and a half north of here. Its funny because I have actually already been there, how you may ask?! well I would do exchanges with the Prince Albert sisters and so i have been able to work up there a couple days already! Its fun to be able to go back and spend more time there... but im a little worried about the mosquitoes on steroids that come with small cities. I have always wondered why mosquitoes don't just suck the fat away from you. I would like them more if they did that.
Love you all! Thank you for everything! Talk to you next week.

May 19...pictures

Okay so not sure what to write about with my week.... i took a lot of pictures so hopefully those can help me out in telling you what i have been up to. :)
It may take a couple of emails but this will be fun.
So this week we had a dinner appointment where we did a charcoal bbq. No one knew how to do it... so of course we threw on lots lighter fluid and stuck in the lighters and boom.... we almost lost elder rosequists hand.... but not really, it was just a HUGE flame and we were a little scared some hair would be singed. But everyone is okay and the burgers ended up being cooked in the oven.

Me and sister mcphee volunteer at the foodbank and we also find the greatest treasures there... this week it was old school glasses and me and sister mcphee picked out outfits for each other.... doesnt she look just fabulous... new look for sure! I love the foodbank though ive been here so long that people notice when im not there even if my companion ends up going with another sister.... those are my friends its so much fun!

The Eastons had a birthday party this week so we stopped by and we have this thing with the easton kids about moustaches.... so latisha (12) showed us some of the glasses she picked up!!!! the pictures were priceless i especially loved how josh (7) his face wasnt big enough so it looked more like a beard. I love them!

This sunday we went to a family in our wards house for dinner... it was super fun and they always make really good food. but the food was very messy so they always make the elders wear bibs.... this time i made sure to get a picture.... :)

Then we went with the elders to the cooks house and taught two lessons there... one was a member present we have been teaching a non member friends of laila. And then me and elder bee taught jay while sister mcphee and elder rosequist did kid duty.... cleo got ahold of my camera during kid duty and out of the hundred of pictures sure took i think some of them are saveable.... it was a fun night... we are hopefully going over next monday for a balloon fight.

I love you all so much! hope you have a great week!!!! and i will talk to you next week!

May 5...smile book

So... I have been changing my journal methods to try to make sure something gets written down sooooo i copied sister mcphees smile book thing... she got it from sister day... all in all i write down short things i want to remember and it has helped a lot so i thought i would share some of my favorites with you!!!!

:( had to say my final goodbye to the Johnsons.... we were putting off goodbyes for so long... and then we finally couldn't avoid it any longer... but i will see them again.. at my homecoming!!!! and maybe stake conference.

:/ We had a district meeting in the middle of the day... it was weird... everyone was way too distracted... :) but we attacked our elders with silly string so that made it all better!!!!

:) We had a lesson with a family that involves a can, some scriptures, and your finger... remind me to show you when i get home!

:) Louise fed us lunch it was really good :( but then i had to say another goodbye.... so many goodbyes this week.. its weird they aren't suppose to leave the area before me.

:) We had a nail party with a less active we are working with... i finally feel like a girl again with my painted nails... and we got to watch legacy which is like the closest thing to a chick flick we can do as missionaries.

:) Sister McPhee's one year mark..... SHE IS GETTING OLD... :)

:) MLC was this week and we learned a lot about loving our stewardship. I love Sister Thomas' portion on the importance of having hope... she talked about if a coach put you in the game and you didn't have a chance to win you would still try your hardest. well we are on the winning team... we already know we have won so we need to work our hardest so we can have the stats in this game... I LOVED IT!

:) Dinner with our elders quorum president was so much fun this week!!! their family is so cute and it was fun to be able to spend some time in the kitchen helping his wife out... you know life with four kids can get a little crazy ;)

:) :) Got to spend more time in the kitchen helping with the RS  conference this weekend... didnt realize how good it felt to just cut food and taste things as we go and just AHHH enjoy food!

:) our service project for the week for cleaning the community was helping a less active in the ward with her yard. We raked her yard and it was really fun... then it got even more fun as we had a bonfire after that!!!! The smell of smoke, roasting hot dogs, and teaching people the joy of roasted starbursts made for an incredibly enjoyable night...

It was a really good week!!!! we hope things just get better and better and I AM SO EXCITED FOR MOTHERS DAY!!!! Love you!!!!
